The list for Regional athletes has been updated.  Check the list to make sure your registration forms and payment have been received.  Any athletes not having their forms and payment in the OAWA office by Monday January 25, 2010 will be removed from the list and will have to re-qualify at the Cadet Open in February.

ONTARIO DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM 

The OAWA Announces the Ontario Amateur Wrestling Association U-20 Development Program

The Ontario Amateur Wrestlling Association is pleased to announce the launch of the U-20 Development program.  This program is patterned after the very succussful 2009 Canada Games Program for Ontario. 

Our hope is that the U-20 Development Program will pick up where the Canada Games Team Development Program left off.  The U-20 program will provide training and competition opportunities for our top up and coming Cadets and Juveniles, as well as Ontario's top Junior athletes.

Please note that the Ontario Amateur Wrestling Association is the Provincial Sport Organization for Freestyle, Greco-Roman Wrestling, and FILA Grappling as recognized by the:

Canadian Amateur Wrestling Association
and the
Ontario Ministry of Health Promotion

The OAWA is responsible for sanctioning all amateur wrestling and grappling events in Ontario, not including school programs.

Cadet-Juvenile Weights for Provincials and Nationals

DEVELOPMENT CENTRE 

Toronto Wrestling Development Centre

The Centre is a training site for all current OAWA members in the Greater Toronto area and all wrestlers in Toronto wanting to add to their current training.  It is sponsored by the Ontario Amateur Wrestling Association. All participants at the Centre must be registered members of the OAWA.  There is no requirement to be affiliated with any particular club.
