The OAWA U-20 Development Program

The Ontario Amateur Wrestlling Association is pleased to announce the launch of the U-20 Development program. This program is patterned after the very succussful 2009 Canada Games Program for Ontario.

Our hope is that the U-20 Development Program will pick up where the Canada Games Team Development Program left off. The U-20 program will provide training and competition opportunities for our top up and coming Cadets and Juveniles, as well as Ontario's top Junior athletes.

The Ontario Amateur Wrestling Association is the Provincial Sport Organization for Freestyle, Greco-Roman Wrestling, and FILA Grappling as recognized by the: Canadian Amateur Wrestling Association and the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport.Click for more...The OAWA is responsible for sanctioning all amateur wrestling and grappling events in Ontario, not including school programs. The OAWA is the ONLY group recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport to sanction Wrestling and Grappling events in Ontario.

 

The OAWA advises all sport participants, particularly those in Combative Sports, to participate ONLY in events sanctioned by Ministry recognized Provincial Sport Organizations.
