Welcome to the OAWA on-line Registration System
The Ontario Amateur Wrestling Association uses an online membership registration process where members can join or renew membership with the OAWA over the internet.
Important Changes for 2023
In an effort to help Ontario Wresting recover from the pandemic, the OAWA is helping to ease return to wresting through heavily discounting OAWA Registration Fees as follows:
As noted above, fees are waived for the balance of 2023.
- Coaches’ Membership Fees will be $85.00 REDUCED TO$50.00 FOR 2023
- Officials’ Membership Fees will be $65.00 REDUCED TO$40.00 FOR 2023
- Athletes’ Membership Fees will $65.00 REDUCED TO$50.00 FOR 2023 *
* $25.00 for Tykes.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- If paying by e-transfer, please send your e-transfer to admin@oawa.ca and include in the Re: line that the payment is for OAWA Membership and who it is for.
- Coaches and Officials renewing MUST complete the on-line registration form and waiver to ensure continued coverage, benefits, and qualifications (Safe Sport, etc.).
- Clubs and Coaches are reminded that in order to participate in any club run training initiatives, including on-line training, ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE REGISTERED WITH OAWA. Failure to do so will result in loss of insurance coverage through OAWA
For 2023, the OAWA will be moving to a new online membership registration system. We plan to make that system available for November 1, 2022. In the meantime, for clubs wishing to register new members, we will continue to utilize a Google-Forms set of Registration forms. These new members will be registered for 2023 and their information will be moved over to the new online system when it is operational.
To register now for 2023 so that you may begin participating, click the form that is appropriate to you and complete the form on-line as follows:
Athlete's 2023 OAWA Membership Registration Form
Coach's 2023 OAWA Membership Registration Form
Official's 2023 OAWA Membership Registration Form
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Effective September 11, 2022, the OAWA Board of Directors has adopted a new OAWA Safe Sport Policy Package. This material is available on the OAWA website. Things to note:
- All Coaches and Officials must have a Vulnerable Sector Check on file with OAWA to register.
- Once the Coach or Official has a VSC on file, they will be required to submit a Police Background Check or e-pic every four years.
- Once their background check information is on file with OAWA, the onus is on the Coach/Official to report any change in their Screening Status (charges filed against them, they are involved in a police investigation, etc.). Failure to report a change in status is a violation of the OAWA Code of Conduct and the member will be subject to disciplinary action.
- There are important changes to all members relating both to Safe Sport Training for Coaches and Officials, and as required by the 2019 Adoption of Rowan’s Law Concussion guidance for Athletes, Parents, Coaches, and Officials. Please review the information contained in this Membership Information and by clicking the links on the Membership Forms. For more information on Rowan’s Law, please visit:
