Join the Ontario Amateur Wrestling Association (OAWA) for the 2025 Super Weekend. A two-day event dedicated to developing, connecting, and empowering Ontario’s wrestling community.
This exciting weekend brings together coaches, athletes, and leaders for a blend of high-impact learning and on-mat experience.

Train with 2016 Olympic Champion Erica Wiebe in a focused, high-performance training day designed for all levels of wrestlers. Athletes will focus on technical precision, transition wrestling and High performance mindset skill development.

girlsCAN On Mat FREE Training Session
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2ND, 2025
This free introductory wrestling training session is brought to you by girlsCAN, in partnership with the Ontario Amateur Wrestling Association (OAWA). The session will be led by Erica Wiebe – 2016 Olympic Champion & Person Extraordinaire, offering participants a unique opportunity to learn from one of Canada’s most inspiring athletes.
This FREE on-mat training session is for female wrestlers ages 13 and up in the Bantam, Cadet, and Juvenile divisions. The session is designed to introduce fundamental wrestling skills in a supportive and inclusive environment. Attendance is limited, and all athletes must pre-register to participate.

COACHES PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT & SOCIAL
SATURDAY NOVEMBER 1, 2025
Join us for an exclusive on-mat professional development session with Erica Wiebe, 2016 Olympic Champion. This is a coach-centred, hands-on training experience designed specifically for wrestling coaches. The day will begin with a high-impact nutrition session led by Catherine Naulleau from the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario (CSIO), focused on fuelling athlete performance.
Next is an engaging Lunch & Conversation with Erica Wiebe (lunch provided), offering coaches the chance to connect, ask questions, and learn from one of Canada’s most accomplished athletes. This will be followed by a hands-on, on-mat technical session with Erica, where participants will refine coaching strategies, gain new insights, and collaborate directly on the mat.
The day concludes with a Coaches Social in the evening, with soft drinks and appetizers provided by OAWA. We encourage all coaches to take part, connect, share experiences, and strengthen relationships within Ontario’s coaching community.

OAWA-registered coaches who have completed all Safe Sport requirements are allowed to take part in the athlete development camp and be on the mats. Maximum PD points for November 1st is 2 points.
