Canada Games Head Coach - Ken Burgess
The Ontario Amateur Wrestling Association is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Ken Burgess as the Head Coach for Team Ontario for the 2025 Canada Games. As Head Coach for the Games, Ken will be responsible for working with the Team Ontario Assistant Coaches and Team Manager through the balance of 2024 and through 2025 with the Ontario High Performance Program, with emphasis on preparation for the 2025 Canada Games.
Ken Burgess is a Coach with the Team Impact Wrestling Club. He has coached at numerous National Championships and International events.
Ken holds the following Wrestling Coaching Credentials, in addition to being a multi-accredited Soccer Coach:
- Chartered Professional Coach (ChPC)
- USA Wrestling Bronze Coaching Certification – February 2018
- Wrestling Competition Development - NCCP Level 3 – July 2011
- Member, Coaching Advisory Committee, Wrestling Canada Lutte
The 2025 Canada Games will mark the third time as a member of Team Ontario for the Canada Games, having been an Assistant Coach at the last two Games.
