Coaches are invited to take part in the 2019 OAWA Super Weekend.

October 19 – 20, 2019 All workshops take place at Bishop Ryan CSS Hamilton

Whether you are starting your NCCP training, continuing it or are already a certified coach looking to continue to enhance your skills and earn PD points, we have something for you!

Lunch is provided Saturday for all coaches in attendance.  Coaches are responsible for their own lunch Sunday (there are places nearby).

NCCP A (Sport Coach) Course:$200.00 ($150.00 for OAWA Members)

Runs Saturday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm and Sunday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Includes Technical (on-mat) training, please come ready to work in!

This is a complete course including Introduction to the NCCP, Make Ethical Decisions, Planning a Practice, Nutrition, and Technical (on-mat) Skills.

Cost includes all resource materials – please bring a binder, some notepaper, pens and a water bottle (there are re-filling stations in the school).

NCCP B (Club Coach) Course:$250.00 ($150.00 for OAWA Members)

Runs Saturday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm and Sunday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Includes Technical (on-mat) training, please come ready to work in!

This is a complete course including Design a Basic Sport Program, Teaching and Learning, Basic Mental Skills, Technical (on-mat) Skills.

Cost includes all resource materials – please bring a binder, some notepaper, pens and a water bottle (there are re-filling stations in the school).

* This is the Coaches’ Fee.  Athletes will pay a different fee to be in the camp.

NCCP MANAGING CONFLICTCOMP/DEV MODULE EARNS 5 PD POINTS!

Course Length: 5 hrs PD Points: 5 

Note:  This is an NCCP Competition/Development Workshop.  In addition to being a great course to increase your coaching skills, it is valuable if you are:

An NCCP Competition/Introduction certified coach who needs to obtain Professional Development (PD) points to maintain your certification.

Are interested in pursuing Competition Development training/certification.

Suitable for Instructors and Competition Coaches.

The NCCP Managing Conflict module will allow you to:

Identify common sources of conflict in sport;

Determine which individuals or groups are most likely to find themselves in situations involving conflict;

Learn important skills that will help you prevent and solve conflict resulting from misinformation, miscommunication or misunderstanding;
