The OAWA is looking for Host Sites/Clubs for the following 2 events:
2021 OAWA Super Weekend
Oct. 23-24, 2021 (projected)
Host site requirements:
- Wrestling/Gym space to accommodate 50 – 60 persons (under COVID restrictions)
- Change Rooms
- 3 – 4 small classroom size rooms for coach workshops
- Other Training Facilities (eg. Strength Training) would be an added benefit.
OAWA oversees the management of Super Weekend, including registration and course management, but the host site is asked to assist with logistics, set-up and teardown, etc.
2021 Ontario Senior Open
Saturday November 27, 2021 (projected)
Host site requirements:
- Wrestling/Gym space to accommodate up to 3 Competition Wrestling mats
- Change Rooms
- 1 – 2 rooms for meetings, registrations, etc.
OAWA oversees the management of the Competition, including registration and event management, but the host site is asked to assist with logistics, set-up and teardown, volunteers for timing and scoring, assist with lunch arrangements, etc.
The host sites for both events will be reimbursed for all expenses and receive a hosting stipend.
